Bay Point

Back Story

The Bay point Residence is a contemporary style home built on the shores of Lake Sunapee designed by Marcus Gleysteen Architects (MGA). MK Wood Works (MKWW) was responsible for all interior cabinetry in the Bay Point Residence. MKWW scope included 12 different areas of the residence with the late addition of the kitchen that had a design, and supply chain restraint. With over 4500 SqFt of living area the bay point residence was a note worthy project in our portfolio. Most of the interior was covered by CVG fir paneling and solid NH granite.

Complexity and Challenges

Our attention to detail and installation capabilities lead to MKWW being awarded the complex kitchen area which included a bespoke quality island, integrated/hidden pantry door and numerous other custom elements.  Due to supply chain and design restraints, we were awarded this area later in the construction phase of the project. This created a logistical complexity that affected all areas of construction, the main being design procurement, production, and installation. MKWW reacted with agility and flexibility to provide the client with the beautiful kitchen that met their expectations in the needed time frame.

Conclusion

In Conclusion the Bay Point Project was a complex contemporary residential project spanning the course of 18 months but with a strong team of designers and builder went off smoothly. Working alongside a strong team helps significantly when events like the kitchen arise in the middle of construction. We were able to create a residence with some of the finest fiber finishes and millwork on Lake Sunapee that will last a lifetime and leave a lasting impression on every guest who enters the home. We pride ourselves in tackling challenging pieces of millwork, not only in size or design but in logistics. We can mobilize and execute plans quickly and with a high level of detail.
